Look, I'm not going to lie, it's easy to get discouraged. The news is a constant barrage of climate disasters, and sometimes it feels like we're all just fiddling while Rome burns. But then I remember why I got into this whole mess in the first place: I actually care. I care about the planet, I care about the future, and I believe that design, even in its own small way, can be a force for good.

And hey, there are some genuinely good things happening out there. More and more people are waking up to the realities of climate change, and there are some truly innovative companies out there doing amazing work. It's just a matter of cutting through the noise, you know? Finding the signal in all that static. The greenwashing is still a plague, but I have to have some hope that good work will make a difference.

So, yeah, I might crack a cynical joke or two (or twenty), but deep down, I'm still fighting the good fight. And maybe, just maybe, that's enough. A teeny, tiny light in the darkness. We just need to make sure that light does not get snuffed out, there is too much riding on it.
